Demitria Deal

My name is Mrs. Deal, and I am so excited to be joining the Lisa J. Mails family as a kindergarten teacher this year!

I have been teaching for over 10 years with experience in 1st and kinder and truly love helping young learners grow, especially by building the strong foundation that will support them throughout their educational journey. I believe kindergarten is one of the most important years of a child’s education—a year filled with curiosity, discovery, confidence-building, and incredible growth. It is a privilege to help lay that foundation, and I can’t wait to share this exciting adventure with my students.

I have my BA in Elementary education, a MA in Curriculum & Instruction, & a LETRS certification for the science of reading.

When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me spending time with my family, hiking, rollerblading, enjoying family bike rides, or playing pickleball.

I look forward to partnering with families to create a positive, caring, and engaging classroom where every child feels valued, encouraged, and excited to learn. Here’s to a fantastic school year full of growth, laughter, and unforgettable memories!
