Welcome to Fifth Grade!

Fifth grade is an exciting year of growth, responsibility, and discovery as students prepare for the transition to middle school. In our classroom, we build strong academic skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies while also developing independence, perseverance, and confidence as learners.

Students will be challenged to think deeply, collaborate with peers, and take ownership of their learning. Through engaging lessons, meaningful discussions, and hands-on activities, we will explore new ideas and strengthen critical thinking skills that will serve them well beyond elementary school.

Just as important as academics, we focus on building a supportive classroom community where every student feels respected, included, and valued. Mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process, and effort is celebrated every day.

I look forward to partnering with families this year to support students as they grow into capable, thoughtful, and responsible young leaders ready for the next chapter in their education.
