Diana Navarrete - RSP
Welcome to our classroom! My name is Ms. Diana Navarrete, and I am passionate about helping every child grow, learn, and reach their full potential. Since beginning my teaching career in 2012 through Teach For America, I have had the opportunity to teach students in both Hawaiʻi and California across elementary and secondary settings. I also earned a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, and I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Early Childhood Education. I am dedicated to supporting the unique strengths and needs of every learner.
My teaching philosophy is centered on learning mastery. I believe that every child learns differently, so I strive to meet students where they are and help them make meaningful progress toward their individual goals. In our classroom, students are encouraged to explore, take risks, celebrate their successes, and develop a lifelong love of learning in a safe and supportive environment.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, visiting national parks, traveling, and watching movies with my daughters, who also attend Lisa J. Mails Elementary School. As both an educator and a parent, I value strong partnerships with families and look forward to working together to make this a successful and memorable year for every student. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know my students on a deeper level!
