Welcome to Third Grade!

Third grade is a year of exciting growth, new challenges, and deeper learning. Students begin to stretch their thinking, build independence, and develop the confidence to tackle more complex ideas across reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.

In our classroom, learning is active and engaging. Students will read meaningful texts, solve real-world math problems, explore science through inquiry, and express their ideas through writing and discussion. We focus on helping students explain their thinking, work with others, and take ownership of their learning.

Just as important as academics, we build a positive classroom community where respect, kindness, and responsibility guide everything we do. Mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn, and effort is celebrated every day.

I look forward to partnering with families to support each child’s growth and make third grade a year filled with curiosity, confidence, and accomplishment.
